Is it All over for Amati ?? I ASSuMEd it was but .... do you have any contrary thoughts today?

Ray --

As of February 27, 1998, Amati will become a fully owned subsidiary of TI.

We could all gather at TI's corporate headquarters and have a military band play taps, but other than that I don't think there's much to be done.

Amati will become a footnote in history. Cioffi, I hope, will go on to make a name for himself and eventually find a place beside other great inventors and creators of the 20th century.

We investors will find other places to put our money and energies, but I suspect it'll be a long time before we find an emerging technology that will capture our minds and hearts the way Amati's DMT did. It was a fantastic ride. An experience I wouldn't have missed for anything --- except maybe those dark dark days last spring. Even so, I've done a watercolor portrait of their corporate headquarters and it now hangs between my kitchen and dining room in a place of honor. Someday when I have grandkids I'll point to it and say, "There's a story behind that picture. . ."

And they'll roll their eyes and say, "Not again . . ."

Hope you're smiling.

Cheers!

Pat

Ray, << TI Amati takeover >>

Do you know who Amati will be reporting to at TI? Directly to
Templeton, or management below him? Got a name?
Larry
