I have nothing to say about this because there is nothing to be gained by finger pointing. It's been my observation that people are blind to the shortcomings of their political party and sharply tuned to any imperfections of their opposition. Those who are overly partisan even fail to see any good that the other side does.

Regardless, I've been saying this for decades: The US problems are structural. No president can change that. Only the people and the society at large can change it. As with the environment movement, the civil rights movement, and every other major change, it has to come from the people. But since both sides are too angry to think rationally and cooperate, it is more likely to have a band ending than a good one.

I will not add more fuel to that fire by engaging in partisan mud slinging - whatever my personal opinions may be.
