Cymer is already on line in Fabs and servicing and offering support to the end line customers. The competition has absolutely no experience with their lasers operating in a fab or any integration problems as experienced in a real working condition.

In regard to Asian problems with service and support. I don't believe their was one company end line, stepper or independent engineer that stated their were problems with CYMER service and support. I do know of one poster on this thread that stated he never had a problem with the Cymi laser he works with. I believe that was all part of the September thru October rumor blitz.

If you remember, none of the rumors were true. Remember the fused silica shortage? Not enough glass *s*. Every time a rumor was discounted another surfaced. It was analysts that actually repeated the rumors and now upgraded. Never mentioned the shortage again did they? Never mentioned or questioned the service and support in the CC either. I would suppose because it was never an issue and they have moved beyond that. Rumors are so destructive and seem to linger long after their purpose has passed. Then they seem to rise again when the purpose is resurrected

Hope I could help
