Gold is one. But, IMO, what you know best is the place to start. There're often one or two tangibles which, because of family, education, business or career, you've built a valuable knowledge base over a lifetime. That expertise gives you a competitive edge vs less savvy, less well informed, investors. Chances are you'll realize higher, now & then much higher, returns than they can.
