If we could just get to 38 before all hell breaks loose, I wouldn't be under water and could do a stop sell without losing anything. Oh well...

KZAP, what kind of scenario are you imagining for WWIII? Assuming that we bomb Iraq with conventional weapons, exactly whom do you suspect will fire what at whom?

Here goes:

If anyone fires a nuke at the US, they will be vaporized. If the Chinese fire anything at Moscow or vice-versa, they will get a whole lot of nukes back in their faces. If either of the above fire nukes at their nearby neighbors, they will get a cloud of radiation back in their faces. If India bombs Pakistan, the dust settles over China -- who will fire back at India. If Iraq or Iran fires a serious weapon at anyone, EVERYONE will fire back without bothering to ask permission. And, if anyone nukes Israel, the US will dust them within minutes.

So which nuclear power is most likely to start WWIII? France ... yeh ... that's the ticket! :-)
