I've been following that... Shell within hours of spudding Namibia appraisal well on huge Graff oil discovery

It's not just an offshore play in Namibia. There's also an interior basin... the "potential" scope and scale of which is said to be about like... "the Permian Basin"... owned by one small company. RECAF

But, all they've shown thus far is that there is an active oil system in the basin... they haven't shown that they have everything you need to have an actual resource present. "Potential" doesn't mean there's no value... but, it also doesn't mean that they have or that they're going to soon find commercial quantities of oil that can be economically produced...

But, RECAF is trading around $5 now... down from $10 not too long ago... at such an early stage that its pretty hard to actually put a real value on it... I have experience with plenty of similar "potentials" that used to trade for $5... that are $0.05 now... and, a few that used to trade for $0.25 that are >$100 now...

It always boils down to a judgement call... which still does nothing much to dictate what's in the rocks... or whatever is there... whether or not it gets found... ?

And, I have seen the other issue in Africa, too... successes in finding, developing and producing... only... the oil doesn't seem to make it to the end of the pipeline... and the $ doesn't seem to make it to the bottom line...

I'm not thinking there's a reason to rush into RECAF... but, watching it carefully... waiting for it... makes sense...
