Ali,

First, I would like to welcome you back after you having missed only a meager few days here at SI. Second, I want to let you know that your posts are getting more and more intelligible to me. Please keep up the good work. Now, shall we get down to these serious discussions.

Just as you have mentioned, several of Intel's competitors have entered this market of x86 lured by obvious high profit margin greatly enjoyed by this originator of x86. However, history has proven over and over again that Intel seems to be the only company capable of making a profit in this business. Why? Because this is the only company that can make engineering, manufacturing, and marketing to play together. Remember once again, please. It takes three to tango. (I hope you are taking notes.)

"it is much easier with $10B of shareholders money in banks...." to allow the three to tango in perfect harmony thus high profit margin for Intel.

That is an excellent point you made. Once again, please keep up with the good work. This is one of the very and very few moments which I am very proud of you other than that time when you admitted to be so jealous of Intel's success.

".only driving force behind this business - high margins."

Oh, yes, it is. All the copycats to Intel seem not to be able to command any profit margin at all. Have you astutely noticed recently?

"Even a thick ice eventually melts down, at least in civilized areas."

Another very good point you have brought up. Your profit margin on your beloved AMD stock is melting away in our very civilized world. Lots of luck to you.

John.
