Locals have no say when at question are the manliness and egos of great power’s leadership and generals. All of them are the same in this respect. You don’t reach their stratospheric levels by being a simple, sensible person.,, which is the very definition of a local yokel. Worrying about the survival of those around you makes you a nobody in the eyes of those who give orders. I say, screw them. Shit floats to the top.

Getting all whiney when Russia says the same to USA over Ukraine is silly.

Except the both the background situation and the specific actions are totally different. NATO isn't putting nuclear weapons in to Ukraine. And Ukraine got rid of their nuclear weapons in exchange for a promise to respect its sovereignty and territorial integrity from the US and the USSR. Also the US didn't annex part of Cuba in response.
