Feb. 09 - MLSM-CDN - Cobalt Assay Results Increase Metal Values In Potter Property Second Hole By Over 50 Percent

TORONTO, ONTARIO--Millstream Mines Ltd. reports the receipt of
Cobalt assay results from the second hole on its Timmins/
Matheson, Ontario, property. The cobalt results considerably
upgrade the already significant values and importance of the
mineralized core intervals previously reported. Assay results from
the third interval in hole #S97-09 are restated as follows:

Interval Core Length Cobalt Copper Zinc Silver Gold
------------
Metres (m) (ft.) (percent)(percent)(percent) (oz/t) (oz/t)
-------- --- ----- -------- -------- -------- ------ -----

604.6-627.5 22.9 75.13 0.08 2.65 2.70 0.76 ---

The above noted intersection included a section as follows:

613.6-623.0 9.4 30.84 0.128 3.86 4.57 1.126 .023

The second hole #S97-09 (16.10W, 630S, Az 350 deg) was collared
230 ft. west on strike from the preliminary discovery hole
#S97-08A, the core from which will now be assayed for cobalt
content. Assay results in respect to the other massive sulphide
intervals from the second hole indicate mineralization with
pyrrhotite and finely disseminated chalcopyrite and sphalerite
across wide sections with a number of narrower widths up to 3
metres (9.8 ft.) of higher grades (up to 1.63 percent Copper and
1.36 percent zinc). Sections of this core will also be assayed for
cobalt.

Millstream also wishes to report that the third hole #S97-10
collared some 200 ft. west of the second hole, after having
encountered mineralization carrying massive sulphides, experienced
directional drilling complications and was temporarily suspended
pending technical assessment.

A fourth hole #S97-11 has commenced drilling to test at depth the
projected mineralized zone beneath the first hole; this hole has
encountered mineralized horizon zones and is approaching its
target area. Information will be released when drilling has been
completed and the core logged.

Future exploration on the Potter will include a Real Section I.P.
survey, the completion of the third hole and additional drilling.

Millstream has a 100 percent unencumbered option on the Potter
Property.
