Hey Brudda,

You would still have cheap oil (maybe cheaper) if Iraq would have annexed and kept Kuwait as a province. Market forces determine price of oil not necessarily dead bodies. Dead bodies are usually results of an older person's ego becoming inflated. Sending someone elses kids and grand kids to early deaths to fulfill his dreams of glory. Do you recognize the names Kamehameha, Napoleon, Caesar, Philip of Macedon, Hitler, Stalin, ______________.... They all were expansionists for the greater glory and power of ____________ (you fill in the blanks).

Thousands of years of territorial conquests and wars in human history, and you put it all down to Iraq's or Kuwait's oil reserves. Its about greed and control. More REAL ESTATE. More POWER.

The last time the US was guilty of land grab was probably in the late 1800s in the Sandwich Islands. Before that it was Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California...

What specifically do you find "much worse" about current US foreign policy? We have not taken over another country in quite some time.

I think you should go to Honolulu sometimes and use the library. Big building, lotta books. The Kahu puke will help you find the history section.

PK, are you suggesting that 500,000 Iraqi kids have died of starvation or malnutrition because of the UN sanctions? Seems rather hard to believe.

In any case, nobody invited Saddam to rape and pillage Kuwait. The devil always gets his due somehow, right?

If, before he took it into mind to invade Kuwait, Saddam had put some of that oil money into building either food stock-piles or food-producing farms instead of war machinery, I suggest that no child would have died of starvation or malnutrition. Again, the devil gets his due.

Perhaps you would have us sell Saddam ICBMs with nuclear payloads? I don't understand your viewpoint.
