I was around in the 80,s and the 70's and the 60's - all doin' computer stuff.

Yes, the employees that I know believe they are on the 'edge'. Maybe they are all 'brainwashed' by sleep deprivation!

I hadn't realized that the 'curved' keyboard had been developed somewhere before. Maybe it was just the marketing, but for whatever reason, the 'curved' keyboard has prevented me from having to have a 'carpel tunnel' operation, and I am thankful!

Yes, I am talking about IBM (PC Jr., -please-), TRS-80 (open architecture) and Apple (proprietary architecture)! Apple made a tremendous contribution to getting computers into the homes, and 'giving' thousands of systems to the schools didn't hurt either. (Johnny, what do you want for Christmas? I want a computer like the one I use at 'school') That sold a bundle!

As for MSFT and the Internet, does that indicate that if 'you' don't 'specifically' invent a technique, you can't use it? If that were the case, I, for one, would be in 'deep do-do'! (Let see now, how do I invent electricity, and after that the microchip!)

Was that Harlem thing the installation of the educational network, or what was it? I don't recall.

As for the 'roadblocks' and 'toll booths', I don't remember anyone giving it away without an another motive. ( computers, software to schools to train the next 'customer' base! Really, pretty clever, but let's 'call' it for what it is, initiation 'without' investigation! )

Thoughts?
