Putin the poisoner kills journalists any any one who challenges him either gets jailed or destroyed in one form or another. Obama? - not so much.

Look, I don't know what kind of scale you're using- yes, governments tend to do similar things to control other countries, but Putin of the KGB, Mr. Slithery killer and kingpin of graft is very little like our presidents of recent years- although the effete coward Trump would have liked to be Putin, he simply doesn't have the balls- nor could he (probably) get away with the kind of crime Putin commits (one hopes) since this country is (sort of) a democracy while Russia is definitely a oligarchy and a totalitarian state in which the much of the GDP is now black market goods.

I realize false equivalencies are all the rage right now, but this is just stupid. Putin isn't insane, like Idi Amin or Pol Pot- but he'd be just as willing to clog a dam with bodies or kill however many people he needed to. This is not the way most US presidents behave- though, again, Trump is certainly one US president who probably had wet dreams about being Putin- but that's just one more thing that makes Trump an aberrant freak
