Fortunately for BC they they on the coast and they have developed a plan over the last 4 years so if Alberta cuts off the oil or BC decides to source it elsewhere they have many options. There are a lot of tree huggers in BC and have been protesting the dirty oil from Alberta and say the cost of getting it elsewhere will be covered by the gain to be made from the high value components of the refined crude. Alberta can sell their Bunker C to China.
