Mohan, read the article you linked us to. Yes, consolidation is a for real over here. It's also very pronounced in banking and financial services. Ahold is a perennial favourite among analysts here. I really don't know the company. It's considered a Blue Chip, so long-term it's probably a good bet. In general the Dutch market is expensive. If I had to look for an European retailer now, I'd start with Metro Group (of Germany). They are very big and I know their concepts and brands a little. They are into general merchandising, not only foods. I have no idea however, how expensive their stock is. It's just that I'm more familiar with the name. Thomas
