Seems like there's one branch of government that we put too much trust in at the beginning - the Judicial. If that branch gets corrupted all the way to the top, then we are back to the drawing board. There's also the problem of so much of judicial enforcement coming under the Executive. Who's the boss? Keep the boss on the run so much that he can't boss his crew and the crew become the boss. They've known that forever.

I wouldn't put it past the puppeteers running the MOBâ„¢ to try to create a DNA database for as much of humanity as possible so that anyone who gets out of line can get "gene therapied" until they are no longer a threat. Much easier to say "oops" than to explain a mysterious death at a ranch in Texas. For lesser threats, the database of personal communications can serve as leverage. They're not supposed to have it, but as Edward Snowden said "Got some bad news for you, Jimbo."
These demonstrations are very important, IMO, because the sheer numbers demonstrate that people are not going to take this treatment and this corruption forever. There's going to be a breaking point if they keep messing with our elections in such an obvious way.

Your point about people with no one to answer to in the end is really the answer to the problems now. Look to those people who do know they will be held to account and support them in their efforts to support us.
