I tend to look at these situations as less of a buy one versus the other situation.

I ran a very non scientific bit of math and find that INTC will not yield 4% unless it trades near 36.

AMD would interest me at 90 if the story remains sexy. Certainly it has been a better stock. Obviously it has been taking market share. It may continue to take market share but INTC is still the company better equipped to withstand a real downturn.

I am watching and waiting.

Would like to see a real bearish downturn where we see more bears than bulls in the Investors Intelligence Poll.

That followed by a 90% upside day or 2 80% upside days in close succession would make me happy to buy either stock.
