Once upon a time people would take on projects that they knew would not complete in their lifetime. They'd do it anyway because they believed in leaving behind something that was greater than themselves and they trusted that the next generation would share that belief and continue their work. Sagrada Familia is the last such project that I know of. It saddens me to think that era is gone and now everyone is into instant gratification. We can't even commit to a 10 year project, let alone something that is generational :((
