Nevertheless, Russia would really suffer if locked out of SWIFT. If the Euros didn't support blocking Russia from SWIFT, the Ukraine invasion must not be that important to them.

Read that Germany, Italy and some other Euro countries blocked the SWIFT action.
I saw that also, but am confused how that actually works. SWIFT is not govt owned. It is a private corp owned by a large consortium of banks.
