IIRC, Trump encouraged Zalensky to give Putin whatever he wanted. He also did his best to end NATO, but his best just wasn't good enuf. == "There is a reason Putin waited until Trump was no longer in power before doing this. There is a reason Putin waited until Trump was no longer in power before doing this. Yes. With Trump he was making gains without having to go to war. That ended so he's having to do it the hard way.
