TJ sorry to say but you are not intimately familiar with either Russian or Ukrainian people.

Too long to explain on SI. It took me years of my foolish believes that they may have changed to learn that all stayed the same.
Only today I received a call from a friend in Russia and WhatsApp chats with both Russians and Ukrainians.

I have many from Novgorod to Sakhalin - same in Ukraine to each I speak differently and it took me over 10 years of ongoing discussion (sometimes daily) and visits to tour Israel for weeks from my own home to understand the nuances.(all former retired high ranking officials having big teams under their command)
