The idea/device is not new, however, the concept of a newer "low cost" storage unit that can be attached to a network without interference of the network is a positive one. I'd look more into the technical aspects of their unit and see what limitations it may have.

The comment about it being "pre-configured" for MS, Novell and Unix makes me wonder how versital it is. Initially it looks like a good item for them. Could be a big seller for the mid to small business market as they say in their PR report.

I'd keep an eye on it and see how their future reports look beyond the beta version. In fact I may even look at one for my own use. $2000.00 for backup system set up as a second server type devise is cheap.
