Hello All

I'm new to day trading and from reading the initial post this seems to be an appropriate fourm. I've done a quick search on rules and daytrading and found nothing so bear with me if this is old for most of you. I recently read something regarding a "5 minute rule" and have no idea what that means, It may have been related to SOES orders? Anyway is there a place where someone can go to find out All of the rules that might not be obvious to new traders? I got into trouble when I first set up my account because I didn't set it up as a margin account, (didn't want to buy on margin, I didn't think) but when I did a couple of daytrades got my hand slapped because I didn't know you had to have a margin account to daytrade. Is there a place on the web or in here that has all of the rules? Is there a book that covers them in depth? I don't want to do anything wrong and get a 90 day warning and not be able to trade.

Thanks

TraderRick

I see your point, I didn't know there were all these different threads. But there is only so much time in a day...
