blankmind,
I just wasnt sure where the line is drawn between on/off topic. You are right the internet is here to stay in a bigger and bigger way, and companies like asnd will grow with it. The study also gives some input to the discussions last night as to possible aol shorts. I used aol as my first service provider spring 96 pre-modem logjams, but i dropped them after a few months.IMO its full of stuff that a serious user probably doesnt use/want cluttering up their screen. It seems from the study aol is losing share of new users, maybe word gets around?
I didnt improve too much though as I now have att and sometimes during peak hours in houston I'm having trouble connecting. I'm looking at switching to flashnet .
Regards,
fuzfo

>>>fuzfo, most of the weekend chat is off topic, but studies as these would certainly affect asnd because the online growth helps to show infrastructure will need to grow, and companies will need asnd's latest and greatest offerings.<<<

Sometimes I associate the off-topic discussions, or low volume of posts on any given thread, as indicative to the outlook of the stock. For example, take a look at the threads of companies such as INTC and MSFT...the volume of posts is diminutive compared to their rivals. They don't need to discuss their companies to much extent due to the security that lends itself from complete domination of their core markets.

Over the last 6 months, the ASND thread has probably been one of the busiest on SI...a handful of approx. a dozen people contributed to the majority of discussion, trying to figure out what was wrong/right with our company and when things would turn around.

But over the past couple weeks, the discussion has almost had a relaxed atmosphere (except for some people arguing), and I get the feeling that the overall consensus is that ASND has finally turned the corner and things actually appear quite bullish for the company. If this is any indication of the wider Street consensus, then I believe we are truly on a sustainable road to recovery.

That's my theory about all the off-topic, low-key chat.
