Jim,

Everything has their limits, fundamental analysis and TA, and I am the one who always says that fundamental/news over-rides TA, so that comment inherently indicates there are limits to TA.

The best way to analysis a system is by results, not subjectivity or perception.

If I am wrong in calling this pullback, then Im wrong. When I give an analysis, I try to give as much info as time permits me, so I just dont say BUY or SELL as I have seen thruout various forums. The key is not if you or I are wrong or right this time, but over an extended amount of attempts, what is the percentage of successful calls.

I have been wrong before and I will be wrong again, and TA does have its limit. Now what is the success rate?

Jim, unfortunately to argue a case between the subjectives/fundamentals/news/TAs/perceptions is very hard to do. So your comment about indexes, well if my technicals are accurate enough to project performance of an index at a high rate, I will continue doing it. When I see the success rate decline then I will examine to see what went wrong to improve it the next time. To me, my concern is not whether if an index is weighted or not, or if it is good or bad. My concern is to make money, and if predictability remains high playing indexes then better for me.

My concern is simply to make money, which I have and the success rate is high. If you have a way that you feel can help improve on a system, Im all for hearing it.
