Regarding "filtering" out posters... I think we are beating this to death!

This reminds me of that very old cartoon showing about eight views of building a tree swing. One shows a tire with one rope on each side of a trunk. Another had three ropes. Another had the tire resting on the ground. All views were ridiculous except the one showing the original request: a tire hung from a branch with two ropes.

All I originally requested was the ability to name those posters for whom my "Next" button would be invoked automatically. (I would also love to prevent he/she from posting directly to one of my posts by having the attempt produce a dialog box informing the poster that I'm rejecting their posts. We could permit private mail so they could apologize or request access. If they abuse this privilege, we could complain about harassment.)

This kind of feature would be nothing more or less than an automatic action equivalent to hitting "Next" manually.

Why all the fuss?

More extensive menu bar at top of each post?

Brad:

SI is the best!

To reduce the amount of scrolling, I would love to see all of the menu choices which are now available on each post placed at the top of the post where "previous, next and respond" are now. The same choices also at the bottom would further enhance efficiency. Of course, the font-size may have to be reduced, but it's pretty big right now. Maybe buttons would be good.

For example, at my screen size and display, the View Subject Marks option is not visible and scrolling down is required. That action requires moving the mouse to the scrollbar, clicking down, moving the mouse to the View Subject Marks and clicking again. With the number of different subjects I follow, that's a bunch of tapping (glidepoint) and dancing. (Tapdancing?)

I've tried the navigation bar, but it seems to occupy too much real estate for me. Maybe someone can advise me on how to better utilize existing functions.

thank you

P.S. This is NOT a complaint - just a possible suggestion for improving this totally fantastic thing you've got going.
