Yes. The lag is many months, before stimulus (or the opposite) effects the economy. And 2 full years for max effect. When the government sent checks to everyone, that caused no inflation then. 2020 stimulus caused 2022 inflation. If we end 2022 with a Fed funds rate of 2%, and are doing QT, expect a recession in 2024 or 2025.
