I guess since Clinton didn't inhale, somebody else did. OK, I'll even go along with your beliefs. Please describe the stage of clinical trials CCSI is in with respect to these other diseases. In addition, you have not provided the source of the incorrect information describing the difference between CCSI technology and SpectRX's. I suspect the source was either peanut butter man or CCSI itself, and you are too embarassed to admit it. Regarding hair business, have you ever heard of a company called New Image? Probably not, since it went down the toilet. They had technology superior to that of CCSI for the hair salon biz. New Image had a computer system where not only could you see how you look with a new hair color, but a new hair style. It was a great novelty item. Price Club had an occasional kiosk where people could try it. Which provides more information to someone, being able to see on a computer screen themselves with new colors and styles or just "knowing" that they have brown, type 19b hair? Would Kojak give a flying f* for CCSI? All CCSI has is a gadget that tells you what colors go best with your skin color, hair color, etc. How about personal preference? Where does that fit into their little gadget? Since natural hair color comes in may shades, etc, CCSI's device will tell you what type of hair color formulation is needed to precisely make your hair change from your specific shade of brown to a specific shade of blonde for example. Slight problem - the device was conceived over a decade ago and chemisty has progressed. How critical is it that a shade will deviate from the photo on the box by .00005%? doesn't mean diddly, unless you happen to be anal retentive. If the cosmetic potential for CCSI is so wonderful, then why has EVERY SINGLE TRIAL OF CCSI TECHNOLOGY BY EVERY COSMETIC COMPANY NOT BEEN RENEWED. REVLON WAS JUST ONE OF MANY THAT HAVE REJECTED THE TECHNOLGY. IT'S ALL IN THEIR OWN FILINGS WITH THE SEC, BUT YOU REFUSE TO READ THEM.
You crack me up.

Would you mind to inform us what happened with these "beauty industry" projects?

Would you also be so kind and provide reference for your first post about CCSI/SPRX tech differences?

From the CCSI Research Page - Message 3079705 :

From techstocks.com - Letter to shareholders dated 5/1/97

.......The Company continues its commitment to expanding its business in the Cosmetics and Beauty fields. In 1996 the Company completed consumer market studies with companies in the Cosmetics and Beauty field including product formulation chromaticity studies for Mary Kay Cosmetics and hair color consumer market tests with Clairol and Regis Corporation.

Although no definitive agreements have been reached with these companies, if the R&D efforts to develop the mass manufacturing prototype of the miniaturized Colormate(tm) II are successful, the Company intends to reopen business discussions for these applications.

Additionally, the Company entered into a licensing agreement for development and test marketing of the Company's custom blended foundation system with Gordon Laboratories, a national distributor who represents a strong resource in launching and developing new business in the Specialty Store and Beauty Salon market of the Beauty Industry. This approach has been carefully developed and if development and preliminary test markets prove successful, will offer an opportunity to expand into these key markets........

techstocks.com - AUG 12, 1997 CCSI CONFERENCE CALL

.......to accomplish commercializing this huge industry, we faced the same two basic problems as Computer Science did - First, to miniaturize big expensive equipment down to hand-held cost effective instruments and second, to develop software for all the applications. We have worked for 10 years to achieve the miniaturization of an inexpensive color measurement instrument and got our prototype 6 months ago. We plan to have our mass manufacturing prototype ready by 2nd quarter, 1998.

Also, over the past 10 years, while being a struggling young Company with all of the usual (and some unusual) problems, we developed many diverse applications of color science technology and instrumentation, much of it financed by joint collaboration agreements with larger companies but for which we retain the Intellectual Property Rights, including a number of U.S. and foreign patents. Some of these technologies were for the beauty field including cosmetic applications with Avon products, hair coloring with Clairol and L'Oreal, then dental applications with Denstply - the soil contamination systems, the hand-held instrument software, etc. - and of course last but not least, the medical applications for monitoring bilirubin infant disease.

.....As far as marketing our other non-medical applications, I am focused almost entirely on consummating one or more contracts for opening up our medical distribution domestically and internationally. However, in parallel we are working on completing the smaller less expensive Colormate because this is the unit that most of our potential licensees in other markets want to see prior to further business discussions, especially in the cosmetics, hair color and dentistry areas.

Perhaps when I turn over the selected negotiated proposed medical contracts to our lawyers to begin the legal drafting process I can begin to pick this up in between. But certainly whenever the device is complete, I will be resuming the next steps in our business plans for the beauty and dental industry marketing. It will also be during this next phase that we intend to start bringing in the much needed management to implement our strategy for a whole new era of expanding operations.

From edgar.whowhere.com - U.S. SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION - FORM 10-QSB - For the quarterly period ended September 30, 1997

......the Company has not sold its new line of cosmetics because the manufacturer has experienced difficulties in color matching certain shades to be scientifically claimable for the Company's scientifically color coordinated cosmetics line. Pending availability of the new line, the Company has ceased active marketing of its prior existing cosmetics line and Swatch Packs. The Company believes the new cosmetics will be ready to ship in the first quarter of 1998.......

......In 1996 and for the first three quarters of 1997, such licensing, leasing and sales yielded an immaterial level of revenue, primarily because the Company devoted its resources to the commercialization of its technologies for medical applications and because the Company's new cosmetics line is not yet available..........

........Although the Company has received FDA clearance to commercially market its Colormate(TM) device to monitor bilirubin infant jaundice.........and has conducted early stage research with respect to certain other chromogenic diseases identified by the Company, the Company's clinical and research development programs for any other medical application of its technology have not effectively commenced, and substantial additional research and development and clinical trials will be necessary before commercial prototypes of the Company's products are produced for any such other medical application...............

........the Company currently provides hair color analysis in certain salons, expects to complete its inventory of a new line of chromatically balanced and color coordinated cosmetics in the first quarter of 1998, and although there can be no assurance, expects to commence marketing of its new line of custom blended foundations in 1998. Although there can be no assurance, the Company believes these factors may enhance revenues from its beauty-related operations.........

Prior Marketing Attempts.
Other than the Avon Project, its more recent arrangements with IMS and its beauty salon placements, the Company's own attempts to license and/or lease its Intellectual Properties and the Colormate(TM) units and to market its Products independently and/or through licensees never proceeded beyond the test marketing stage..........

In addition, other than its installation of Colormate(TM) units in beauty salons and beauty related businesses, the Company's revenue generating activities have been primarily conducted in conjunction with its former licensees (i.e., Clairol, Hanes and Avon), that provided substantial economic, administrative, marketing and advertising support.......
