Sankar, anyone with thoughts on the topic- There is discussion now on the establishment of a currency board in Indonesia.
How likely that this will actually happen?
What are some of the considerations in establishing the rupiah/dollar relationship?
Would this relationship be fixed- as it is with Argentina or could it include a creeping adjustment (similar to Brazil)?
Would 5000 rupiah/dollar be a feasible and sustainable level to set the exchange rate, given the current level , slightly below 10,000?

It seems that a 5000 level, if it could be sustained, could solve much of the current crisis and restore a degree of confidence without hurting competitive position.

Thanks for any comments
