It’s time to confront the Trump-Putin network

Rebecca Solnit

A stunning number of Trump’s closest associates had deep ties to the Kremlin. The significance of this cannot be overstated

In 2014, the Putin regime invaded Ukraine’s Crimea. In 2016, the same regime invaded the United States. The former took place as a conventional military operation; the latter was a spectacular case of cyberwarfare, including disinformation that it was happening at all and promulgation of a lot of talking points still devoutly repeated by many. It was a vast social-media influencing project that took many forms as it sought to sow discord and confusion, even attempting to dissuade Black voters from voting.

Additionally, Russian intelligence targeted voter rolls in all 50 states, which is not thought to have had consequences, but demonstrated the reach and ambition of online interference. This weekend, British investigative journalist Carole Cadwalladr said on Twitter, “We failed to acknowledge Russia had staged a military attack on the West. We called it ’meddling.’ We used words like ‘interference.’ It wasn’t. It was warfare. We’ve been under military attack for eight years now.”

As she notes, Putin’s minions were not only directing their attention to the United States, and included pro-Brexit efforts and support for France’s far-right racist National Front party. The US interference – you could call it cyberwarfare, or informational invasion – took many forms. Stunningly, a number of left-wing news sources and pundits devoted themselves to denying the reality of the intervention and calling those who were hostile to the Putin regime cold-war red-scare right-wingers, as if contemporary Russia was a glorious socialist republic rather than a country ruled by a dictatorial ex-KGB agent with a record of murdering journalists, imprisoning dissenters, embezzling tens of billions and leading a global neofascist white supremacist revival. In discrediting the news stories and attacking critics of the Russian government, they provided crucial cover for Trump.

In her 2019 testimony to House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, former National Security Agency staffer Fiona Hill declared, “Russia was the foreign power that systematically attacked our democratic institutions in 2016. This is the public conclusion of our intelligence agencies, confirmed in bipartisan congressional reports. It is beyond dispute, even if some of the underlying details must remain classified. The impact of the successful 2016 Russian campaign remains evident today. Our nation is being torn apart; truth is questioned; our highly professional expert career Foreign Service is being undermined. US support for Ukraine, which continues to face armed aggression, is being politicized. President Putin and the Russian security services aim to counter US foreign policy objectives in Europe, including in Ukraine, where Moscow wishes to reassert political and economic dominance.”

The assertions of interference were compelling all along. On October 7, 2016, US intelligence agencies released a bombshell press release declaring “The US Intelligence Community (USIC) is confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of e-mails from US persons and institutions, including from US political organizations.” In one of the weirdest days in US political history, the Access Hollywood tape of Trump boasting about sexually assaulting women was released half an hour later, and half an hour after that, “WikiLeaks began tweeting links to emails hacked from the personal account of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.” Wikileaks is thought to have gotten its material from the Russian intelligence agency GRU; longtime Republican operative and Trump ally Roger Stone appears to have been a liason between Wikileaks and the Trump team.

On October 30, 2016, then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid put out a furious letter to then-FBI director James Comey, charging “it has become clear that you possess explosive information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his top advisors, and the Russian government – a foreign interest hostile to the United States, which Trump praises at every opportunity.” He demanded, unsuccessfully, that Comey publicize this information. On October 31, Obama contacted called Putin on the nuclear risk reductions hotline to demand he stop this interference, but the public didn’t know about this until after Trump had lost the popular vote but won the electoral college.

Of course the most striking role of the Russian government in the 2016 US election was its many, many ties with the Trump campaign, including with Trump himself, who spent the campaign and the four years of his presidency groveling before Putin, denying the reality of Russian interference, and changing first the Republican platform and then US policy to serve Putin’s agendas. This included cutting support for Ukraine against Russia out of the Republican platform when he won the primary, considerable animosity toward Nato, and ultimately trying to blackmail Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in 2019 by withholding military aid while demanding he offer confirmation of a Russian conspiracy theory blaming Ukraine rather than Russia for 2016 election interference.

A stunning number of Trump’s closest associates had deep ties to the Russian government. They included Paul Manafort, who during his years in Ukraine worked to build Russian influence there and served as a consultant to the Kremlin-backed Ukrainian president who was driven out of the country – and into Russia by popular protest in 2014 (the Russian line is that this was an illegitimate coup and thus a justification for invasion is still widely repeated). Manafort was, during his time in the campaign, sharing data with Russian intelligence agent Konstantin V Kilimnik, while campaign advisor Jeff Sessions was sharing information with the Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Manafort, Donald Trump Jr and Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner held an illegal meeting in Trump Tower with a Kremlin-linked lawyer on June 9, 2016, where they were promised damaging material on the Clinton campaign.

After being seated next to Putin while being paid to speak at a dinner celebrating RT, Russia’s news propaganda outlet, Michael Flynn briefly became Trump’s national security advisor. He was soon was fired for lying to White House officials and later pled guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts with the Russian ambassador. Jared Kushner allegedly directed him to make those contacts and as the Washington Post reported in May 2017, “Jared Kushner and Russia’s ambassador to Washington discussed the possibility of setting up a secret and secure communications channel between Trump’s transition team and the Kremlin, using Russian diplomatic facilities in an apparent move to shield their pre-inauguration discussions from monitoring.” The Guardian reported the same year that “Donald Trump Jr has been forced to release damning emails that reveal he eagerly embraced what he was told was a Russian government attempt to damage Hillary Clinton’s election campaign.”

What’s striking in retrospect is that all of this was made possible by corruption and amorality inside the United States. It was Silicon Valley’s mercenary amorality that created weapons and vulnerabilities and sat by pocketing the profit as they were exploited to destructive ends. It was corrupt Americans – from Manafort to Trump himself – that gave Putin his influence. It was international players such as Wikileaks and Cambridge Analytica that helped. It was corruption of media outlets such as Fox News that continued – in Tucker Carlson’s case until last week’s invasion of Ukraine caught up with him – to defend Putin and spread disinformation.

The Republican party met its new leader by matching his corruption, and by covering up his crimes and protecting him from consequences, including two impeachments. The second impeachment was for a violent invasion of Congress, not by a foreign power, but by right-wingers inflamed by lies instigated by Trump and amplified by many in the party. They have become willing collaborators in an attempt to sabotage free and fair elections, the rule of law, and truth itself.

Is Trump the President? How long has it been now? Did he get an extra year and months?

I know you like your politicians to be of good character. But you just don't seem to find the perfect politician. Especially if they are swampers.

The fully vaccinated account for 9 of every 10 deaths from COVID-19 in England and 4 of 5 deaths among the triple-vaccinated, according to the latest data published by the U.K. Health Security Agency.

The independent British news site The Exposé reported the government report, published Feb. 22, includes a table on page 41 confirming the vast majority of deaths were among the vaccinated.

About 73.5% of the population of England has been fully vaccinated, and 56.9% have received a booster shot, as of Feb. 28.

THIS CHECKS OUT. THIS WOULD BE THE REASON OUR UTTERLY CORRUPT FBI COULD NOT FIND A MOTIVE... LAS VEGAS MASSACRE COMMITTED BY ANTIFA AND ISIS.

Trump National Security Council Official Received Report on Multiple Shooters and ANTIFA and ISIS Involvement in Las Vegas Massacre

Bombshell evidence prepared for a recently-deceased Trump National Security Council (NSC) official explicitly reports on multiple shooters carrying out the Las Vegas terrorist shooting of October 1, 2017. The report states that Stephen Paddock did not actually commit suicide but was executed by others, pointing to Antifa and ISIS involvement and FBI foreknowledge of the attack. The report also provides evidence that an ANTIFA group claimed responsibility for the shooting with the message: “One of our comrades from our Las Vegas branch has made these fascist Trump supporting dogs pay.” The following report was prepared for Rich Higgins, who served in the National Security Council strategic planning office in 2017. Higgins died of complications at a hospital at around 3 AM on February 23, 2022. The more than 50-page report is entitled “All Source Assessment: Attack on the Route 91 Country Music Festival October 1, 2017 Mandalay Bay Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada” and was prepared for Higgins shortly after he left the National Security Council.

According to the Rich Higgins Las Vegas document: “The report fuses open source information with tactical counter terrorism analysis, cyber intelligence, and digital data mining capabilities.” The report states: “Stephen Paddock may have anticipated the arrival of a fly in team of additional shooters that would assist in the operational execution.”

The report names an Australian man named Brian A. Hodge as a “person of interest” with “possible ties to Islamic organizations and a possible Islamic State (IS) linkage.” The report states that “Mr. Hodges’ personal profile is more befitting of a left wing or Anti-Fascist Action (ANTIFA) affiliate, but recent intelligence reports point to an increased level of collaboration between groups like Antifa and Islamic State.”

On page 45, the report states: “The FBI was closely monitoring Antifa operative engagements with Islamic State and Al Qaeda (Arabian Peninsula and Islamic Maghreb) personnel in Germany…the FBI has discovered a “level of chatter” between left wing revolutionary groups and Islamic terrorist groups.” It turns out, according to the report, that “Mr. Hodge traveled to Berlin, Paris, London, and back to Berlin approximately 2 weeks prior to the attack in Las Vegas.”

The Las Vegas official single-shooter narrative has been torn apart by recent evidence from Mindy Robinson’s “Route 91” documentary which shows that other 911 calls identified multiple shooters. There is a ton of evidence that there were clearly bodies in other locations and shooters in other locations. This reporter has been in communication with a group that created an open source intelligence virtual map of video evidence and incident reports from Vegas, which ranges in location all around the city, a very wide radius.

Sources have said that there was a shooting at an airport in connection to a possible assassination attempt on Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who may have been staying at the Mandalay Bay hotel then slipped into undercover civilian gear either to flee the premises or to gamble anonymously before he was forced to flee the premises in disguise. The top floors, 35 to 39, of the Mandalay Bay Hotel house the Four Seasons Las Vegas. On that night, the Four Seasons Las Vegas was owned by Bill Gates through the firm Cascade Investment and also Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, who was at odds with bin Salman. Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal was arrested by the Saudis for corruption on November 4, shortly after the shooting. President Donald Trump quietly dispatched a delegation to Saudi Arabia after the shooting. Left-wing billionaire George Soros’ Soros Fund Management “shorted” — meaning bet against — the stock price of Mandalay Bay’s MGM shortly before the shooting, and MGM owns the Mandalay Bay shooting site. MGM Grand CEO James Murren quietly dumped a lot of his personal MGM stock prior to the shooting.

Brian Hodge is a central figure in the Higgins Report on the shooting. The report explains how Hodge, born 1981 and linked to a bunch of addresses in West Hollywood, served a witness for the Australian press and claimed to be inside Stephen Paddock’s hotel suite in a different half of the suite. But Hodge also claimed on social media that he was “hiding in the bushes.” He said that there were “multiple shooters” including “one on my hotel room floor.”

On page 29, the Higgins Report states: “Further data mining of Mr. Hodge’s activity on the night of the attack reveals that while he was originally located at the Mandalay Bay and the surrounding Enterprise area, (he) departed downtown Las Vegas while publicly claiming to have been hiding in the bushes outside the Mandalay Bay. Mr. Hodge’s signatures reveal that he is located approximately 10 miles north of the Mandalay Bay hotel…”

On page 32, the report refers to Hodge’s statement that a security guard had been killed on his floor, which conflicts with the Official Narrative which holds that a security guard named Jesus Campos was shot repeatedly by Paddock but survived. The Higgins Report states: “How did Mr. Hodge know, only 3 hours after the attack, in advance of the public and most officials, that a security guard had been killed (actually shot and wounded) on the 32nd floor?”

According to the report, “Intelligence methods reveal that” during the frenzy Hodge stayed at Knotty Pine Motel in north Las Vegas in Room Number 17, a room that was associated with a man named German Torres Moreno, a Mexican national from the city of Penjamo, Mexico, in Guanajuato, Mexico, an area that is rife with ISIS recruiting.”

According to the report, Hodge communicated and interacted with people associated with various Muslim-oriented groups including “Travel to Medina,” with a front office in Brooklyn.

Hodge hails from Melbourne, Antifa and went back to Melbourne briefly in December, after the shooting, for about a day. Evidence shows that Melbourne ANTIFA took credit for the attack then deleted the message, with Melbourne Antifa stating: “One of our comrades from our Las Vegas branch has made these fascist Trump supporting dogs pay.”

ISIS also claimed responsibility, referring to Stephen Paddock as one of their operatives. Paddock, who was dating and living at the Mandalay Bay with a woman from Australia named Marilou Danley, who was in the Philipines when the shooting took place. An ISIS communication network said that Paddock had converted to Islam and ISIS granted him the Muslim name Abu Abdul Barr al-Amriki, as Newsweek reported.

According to Al-Naba, reportedly an ISIS magazine, ISIS stated: “A soldier of the caliphate attacked a gathering of 22,000 Americans at a concert in the city of Las Vegas, resulting in nearly 60 killed and 600 injured” and said “Brother Abu Abdul Bar stationed himself in a room on the 32nd floor of a hotel overlooking the concert and opened fire continuously on the crowds using 23 firearms and more than 2,000 bullets and died, may God accept him, after running out of ammunition.”

According to the Higgins Report: “Immediately following the attack, during the morning of October 2, Mr. Hodge appears in numerous Australian media reports including print, radio and television. Notably, he does not share the links to these radio and television interviews on any of his own social media outlets. This is highly suspicious behavior. Later in the day on October 2, Mr. Hodge departed Las Vegas and arrived in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While in New Mexico, Mr. Hodge appears to travel to the Anatolia Doner Kebab House…This restaurant address is affiliated with numerous other businesses in the Albuquerque area and is owned by a Mr. Mehmet Kokangul and Umit Kokangul. Mr. Mehmet Kokangul appears to be a Turkish National from Adana Turkey, a known center of Islamic State activity in Turkey.”

The case of the suspicious witness bears similarity to the case of Chris Mahony, a supposed car-crash eyewitness for CNN’s Wolf Blitzer at the Charlottesville scene. Mahony, as I revealed, turned out to have been an adviser for George Soros’ Open Society Initiative, a social friend of George Soros’ son Alexander, a press eyewitness to previous geopolitical activity in Sierra Leone, and a member of the socialist New Zealand Fabian Society, which uses a crest that portrays a wolf in sheep’s clothing, which is an expression used to signify infiltration of the innocent.

Rich Higgins was fired from the Trump National Security Council in 2017, prior to the Las Vegas attack, after he wrote a Political Warfare memo that got leaked in which Higgins identified the “Deep State” working against President Donald Trump. Higgins wrote in that memo: “In Maoist insurgence, the formation of a counter-state is essential to seizing State power.”

John Solomon Delivers Epic Response to Fascist Twitter as They Keep Censoring Inconvenient Facts

thelibertydaily.com

Big Tech has a big problem. The truth often runs contrary to what they want people to believe to be true. This is especially noticeable when sites like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube go after respected journalists who report the facts, only to be suspended. John Solomon from Just The News is one of Twitter’s favorite targets.

His recent suspension stemmed from a report he delivered on a peer-reviewed Covid study they claimed was “violating the policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19.” The problem with their assessment is that it is absolutely certain whoever pulled the trigger on suspending the account is nowhere near more qualified to make that decision than the doctors and scientists who reviewed the study.

A Twitter staffer with a degree in some woke major from Stanford doesn’t know as much about Covid-19 as the PhDs who verified the study was accurate. In a sane world, this would be so blatantly obvious that Solomon’s suspension would have been reversed immediately, or better yet it would never have happened at all. It did happen and it hasn’t been reversed, so Solomon has sent them an epic response:

“If journalists can’t accurately quote a peer-reviewed study in a respected medical journal written by a university that has been trusted by NIH and WHO without being censored, then the First Amendment has been thoroughly gutted by Big Tech censors who want to substitute their version of truth for honest coverage of disputes in science and public policy.

“There is nothing inaccurate or harmful in the story, which includes dissenting views and context from the CDC. I ask Twitter to review the article and the underlying information and lift its suspension immediately. Accusing a journalist falsely of ‘spreading misleading and potentially harmful information’ without a basis is defamatory and suspending the account without cause simply erodes Twitter’s standing in the market of free ideas.”

This isn’t the first time his account has been censored for reporting on facts. The last time it happened, Twitter reversed itself and claimed it was an “ error.”

Big Tech is making the best case for freer speech competitors like Gab, Rumble, Gettr, Parler, and Truth Social to rise up and take parts of the market. Nobody knows how much these alternatives can really take, but there’s big money behind them which gives them a chance.

Substack is carving out its own niche by giving their newsletter service similar options to Big Tech that include blogging, videos, and podcasts. You can subscribe to me there, which is where I have been posting an increasing amount of my work.

Censorship of Covid-19 “misinformation” is a primary goal of Big Tech, which is beholden to Big Pharma and the powers-that-be who want to perpetuate Pandemic Panic Theater for as long as possible. They want every man, woman, and child to be jabbed, and they’re unwilling to allow the truth to get in their way.

The days of Big Tech domination over the market will eventually come to an end. Their actions are unsustainable. The only question is whether it will happen sooner or later. Free speech must reemerge as dominant on the digital landscape.

DIDDLING KIDS ISN'T ENOUGH FOR YOU DEMONRATS.

Maryland Democrats Seek to Decriminalize Infanticide

In other words – this bill will effectively legalize infanticide. The exact language of the bill states: “This section may not be construed to authorize any form of investigation or penalty for a person . . . experiencing a . . . perinatal death related to a failure to act.” (Emphasis added). In other words, a baby born alive and well could be abandoned and left to starve or freeze to death, and nothing could be done to punish those who participated in that cruel death. The bill also includes a section that would allow “a person [to] bring a cause of action for damages if the person was subject to unlawful arrest or criminal investigation for a violation of this section as a result of . . . experiencing a . . . perinatal death.

At Least 12 Missiles Hit Iraq's Erbil Near US Consulate: Reports

    www.theepochtimes.com /at-least-5-rockets-hit-iraqs-erbil-near-us-embassy-reports_4333836.html

At least 12 missiles landed on targets in northern Iraq, hitting an area near a U.S. Consulate in the city of Erbil in the early hours of Sunday, the state news agency quoted the Directorate General of Counter Terrorism in Kurdistan as saying.

“Several missiles fell on the city of Erbil,” said governor Omid Khoshnaw, the Iraqi News Agency (INA) also reported. Erbil is the capital city of the autonomous Kurdistan region of Iraq.

“No victims or casualties after Erbil blasts,” Saman Barzanji, health minister in Iraq’s Kurdistan Province, was cited as saying.

A spokesman for the Kurdish regional government said there were no casualties. A U.S. State Department spokesperson called it an “outrageous attack” but said no Americans were hurt and there was no damage to U.S. government facilities in Erbil.

No flight interruptions have been reported at Erbil airport.

Footage posted on social media shows multiple explosions. The Epoch Times cannot independently verify the footage.

Sky News Arabia earlier reported that five long-range ballistic missiles targeted the site of a U.S. Consulate currently under construction there. It later reported that “12 ballistic missiles” were launched “from outside Iraq,” citing a statement from the counter-terrorism forces in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

According to the outlet, one of the missiles fell on the headquarters of the Kurdish satellite channel K24, which is affiliated with the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq , Masrour Barzani. The building is near the U.S. Consulate in Erbil.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the latest attack.

“Seeing reports of Iran-backed attacks on the U.S. consulate in Iraq,” Rep. Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) said on Twitter. “This aggression shows we should absolutely end all Iran Nuclear Deal negotiations now. We must also never buy Iranian oil.”

In the past, U.S. forces stationed at Erbil’s international airport complex have come under fire from rocket and drone attacks that U.S. officials blame on Iran-aligned militia groups. There have been no such attacks for several months.

The last time ballistic missiles were directed at U.S. forces was in January 2020 in retaliation for the killing of Qassem Soleimani, the head of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’s Quds Force (IRGC-QF), at Baghdad airport earlier that same month. There were no deaths, however, many U.S. service members suffered head injuries from the strike.

Fars News Agency, which is managed by the IRGC of Iran’s Islamist regime, appeared to link the missile attack to the killing of Soleimani.

“Missiles hit the ‘Israeli-American’ bases at 01:20 local time; ‘that’s not a coincidence’. IRGC-QF chief Soleimani was killed in #Iraq on 7Jan20—01:20 Iraq time. #Iran,” Fars News wrote in a Twitter post, per a translation via journalist Khosro Kalbasi.

Jason Brodsky, policy director at United Against Nuclear Iran, wrote on Twitter: “The Soleimani factor in the #Erbil attack tonight is important. Soleimani’s birthday was on March 11, pro-IRGC media are boasting the attack tonight occured at same time of his death at 1:20 AM, the revenge attack on 01/08/20 also occured at 1:20 AM.

“And there are reports the Fateh-110s were used tonight, which also made a cameo appearance in the Soleimani revenge attack on U.S. forces in #Iraq on 01/08/2020. Would note #Iran has also launched Fateh-110s before on #Iraq, e.g. in September 2018 on KDPI HQ in Koya.”

An Israeli air strike in Syria killed two IRGC members on March 7, Iranian state media reported earlier. The IRGC vowed to retaliate, it said.

Melanie Sun and Reuters contributed to this report.

This May Be the Actor–President's Finest Performance, but Will He Bring the Whole House Down?

    Andrew Davies

    Commentary

No one can doubt the courage of Ukraine’s 44-year-old president, Volodymyr Zelensky, in defying Russia’s invasion of his nation, or the courage and suffering of its people, but his judgment is another matter.

His goal, even before the invasion, seems to have been to lead the world to war.

He initially downplayed the threat posed by Vladimir Putin’s forces amassing on the Ukrainian border. On Jan. 28, he held a press conference and chastised Western leaders for exaggerating the danger saying, “We see troops coming and going… some being withdrawn.”

He particularly disapproved of the decisions by the UK and United States to evacuate staff from their embassies in Kyiv, stating: “Diplomats are like captains. They should be the last to leave a sinking ship. And Ukraine is not the Titanic.”

But then, his position changed dramatically, and not because Russia invaded his country. He flip-flopped before then.

He knew that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had threatened that Moscow would “retaliate” if its demands for a halt to NATO expansion weren’t met. Yet, on Feb. 19 at the Munich Security Conference, Zelensky defiantly made it plain that he not only wanted Ukraine to join NATO, but he also wanted its nuclear weapons on Ukrainian soil.

Putin responded by telling his people, “This is the very red line that has been talked about many times. They crossed it.”

I raised these issues in my last article and a week later, Tucker Carlson picked up on the same theme.

“At a public press event at the Munich Security Conference, Kamala Harris encouraged Ukraine to become a member of NATO. ‘I appreciate and admire President Zelensky’s desire to join NATO.’” Carlson told his viewers. “Message: Up yours, Vladimir Putin, go ahead and invade Ukraine. And of course, Vladimir Putin did that just days later.”

Zelensky’s incendiary speech warned delegates that NATO indifference could be a repeat of the mistakes that led to two world wars in the last century.

“The annexation of Crimea and the war in Donbas affects the whole world. This is not a war in Ukraine, but a war in Europe,” he claimed, adding: “How did it happen that in the 21st century, Europe is at war again and people are dying? Why does it last longer than World War II?”

This was now his turn to exaggerate, as he was speaking before the current invasion.

By claiming that Ukraine’s territorial dispute with Russia over Crimea and the Donbas region was on par with the Nazi takeover of most of Europe, he also was seeking to make this the West’s problem. But his speech ended up making a bad situation worse by provoking Russia to launch its full invasion.

Zelensky knew he was picking a fight he couldn’t possibly win without the help of NATO forces. In doing so, he was gambling with the lives of his fellow countrymen, women, and children, but at least he had Kamala Harris at his side. So, does that make her an accessory?

Since then, he has been endlessly lobbying NATO countries for their support while rejecting offers to be evacuated from Kyiv. He once famously said: “I need ammunition, not a ride.”

Via a historic first video link into the House of Commons, Zelensky’s speech received a standing ovation from the packed chamber after quoting Shakespeare and his version of Churchill’s “We will fight them on the beaches” speech, made in that same room over 80 years ago.

Zelensky told MPs that “Ukraine wasn’t seeking this [conflict],” which is correct, but what did he expect would happen when he made his fateful speech in Munich?

He ended his 10-minute address with: “Find a way to make our sky safe. Do what you can, what you have to do, and what is obliged by the greatness of your country and your people.”

Rousing stuff and Boris Johnson responded accordingly. He told MPs: “In a great European capital now within range of Russian guns, President Volodymyr Zelensky is standing firm for democracy and for freedom.”

The British have so far responded by sending more weapons. Almost doubling the 2,000 light anti-tank missiles they already delivered, along with longer range Javelin missiles and surface-to-air missiles.

Comparing the Russian invasion to 9/11, UK Foreign Minister Liz Truss later threatened, “We want a situation where they [Russia] can’t access their funds, they can’t clear their payments, their trade can’t flow, their ships can’t dock and their planes can’t land,”

That’s fightin’ talk, but what Zelensky really wants are NATO no-fly zones, NATO boots on the ground, and, eventually, NATO nuke silos underground, which could lead to war between Russia and the United States that would surely only end in one MAD (mutually assured destruction) way.

People in high places in the West seem to agree with him to the point of adulation. One exception is Germany’s new chancellor, Olaf Scholz, who, after meeting with Putin, opposes NATO membership for Ukraine in the near future. The United States, for now, also opposes no-fly zones, since that would require NATO to shoot down Russian planes.

But just imagine the reaction in Beijing if NATO demanded that China recognize Taiwan’s right, as Truss put it in her speech about Ukraine, “to choose their own security arrangements.” Why not try asking them if they want to join NATO, even if the island lies between the East China Sea and the Pacific Ocean? Though of course, NATO won’t dare to even call Taiwan a nation, lest it upsets the CCP—might is the only right they recognize there.

Putin’s foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, told journalists that Russia’s goals are limited to making sure Ukraine never again poses a military risk. He also claimed it will be up to Ukrainians to choose what government they should have—provided it doesn’t join NATO or try to take back Crimea.

This is the same demand he made to Zelensky before Russia invaded, before many people died—with a lot more deaths still to come—and before parts of his country lay in ruins.

If Ukraine had chosen to become neutral, it would have been joining nations such as Finland, Malta, Ireland, Japan, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Sweden, Turkmenistan, Costa Rica, Austria, and even the Vatican City. Not much use to NATO though.

While Western outrage and concern at the human misery now being inflicted is understandable, at the same time, it’s hypocritical. America and coalition forces were once the aggressors that invaded Iraq in 2003 under the false pretext that it had weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

According to a Lancet study, that war led to about 655,000 deaths from March 2003 to June 2006, and the regional destabilization it created eventually allowed the terrorist group ISIS to establish its bloody caliphate, bringing the death toll much, much higher.

To justify that invasion, then-British Prime Minister Tony Blair stood up in Parliament and falsely told MPs that Iraq could deploy WMDs that could target British bases in Cyprus within 45 minutes. His sole proof turned out to be a plagiarized “ dodgy dossier.”

That was a lot of deaths on the off-chance that Saddam Hussein might have a weapon. And there was no intelligence to say he was going to use it—how could there have been as no WMDs were ever found in Iraq, whereas, Zelensky has admitted to the world his plans to site them in Ukraine and aim them in Russia’s direction.

Today, there are many calls for Putin to be tried for war crimes, yet the architects of the invasion of Iraq received no sanction over the deaths they caused there. Indeed, “Sir” Tony Blair just received the highest level of knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II.

To turn Zelensky’s Titanic metaphor against him: Is he now acting like the captain who wanted to reach America so fast that he ended up steering his ship into an iceberg—a Russian one? And are our leaders risking making all of us his passengers?

Biden Shares His Secret To Keeping Calm In A Crisis: Senility

    babylonbee.com

WASHINGTON, D.C.—So far, the Biden administration has had a much different style than the previous administration, having milder reactions to events and creating less news. President Joe Biden recently shared that his secret to keeping calm during a crisis is senility.

“I have no idea where I am or what’s going on,” Biden told reporters, explaining how he could be so peaceful when so much was needed of him. “I don’t even know where I am right now or who you are. Are you the guys who are supposed to get me my pills? Where are my pills?”

White House staffers further expanded on how laid back Biden’s style is. “Sometimes you’ll tell him about some world event and he will panic, and it’s starting to look bad,” said one staffer who wished to remain anonymous since Biden never remembers his name anyway, “but ten minutes later he’s forgotten all about it and is back to eating an ice cream cone and watching something on AMC. He’s unflappable. Because his brain is full of holes.”

“Now I have to get going or I’m going to miss the train,” Biden further related to reporters. An aide then came in and told Biden they needed a decision on the border crisis, to which Biden said, “What crisis? What’s this malarkey you’re talking about? And who are you? And why are you telling me this?” The aide then got frustrated and went off to figure things out himself.

MODERNA WENT FROM LOSING $1 BILLION IN A YEAR TO MAKING $12 BILLION, WHY WOULDN'T THEY MAKE MORE OF THIS POISON?!?!?

Moderna Plans Three More mRNA “Vaccines”

    • Moderna announced they were developing three vaccines using mRNA technology for cancer, shingles and herpes. Yet, the current mRNA shot has not proven to be successful, nor are the long-term effects of genetic therapy known
    • Moderna and BioNTech, the two companies that developed mRNA vaccines with emergency use authorization in the U.S., had not produced an approved product before the COVID injection
    • Some authorities believe the shot is successful. Yet, it doesn’t stop recipients from getting the illness or from being hospitalized, and it has a significant risk of adverse side effects, including permanent disability and death
    • Dr. Robert Malone, who discovered how to prepare mRNA so human cells could incorporate the genetic code and use it, warned the FDA that the shot could be dangerous, and he is warning parents they should carefully consider injecting children, which is an irreversible decision

One-Trick Pony Moderna Announces Three New Vaccines

In the world of science, Moderna’s announcement may raise a red flag. The company is 10 years old with billions in market valuation,18 but until their COVID-19 vaccine, they had no approved products.

The company was founded by two scientists and a venture capitalist who recognized the commercial potential of mRNA as a drug delivery technology. In November 2020, Stat News19 reported that despite having not produced a single product, the company had made the founders hundreds of millions of dollars.

Originally, modified mRNA was thought to hold the key to a new source of embryonic stem cells that researchers planned to use to treat anything from Parkinson’s disease to spinal cord injuries. Using modified mRNA, they hope to sidestep the controversy of using stem cells from aborted fetuses.

The promise hinged on safe dosing, but in animal studies scientists ran into a now-familiar problem with the mRNA doses. The therapy triggered dangerous immune reactions, yet the lower doses were too weak to show benefit.
