The remaining Mac stores are getting stronger (via MacCentral):

...regional retailers say they're seeing Mac activity pick up.

"We definitely do have a lot more activity lately a lot more than we've had at any time in the past two or three years," Tom Duhr of Computer City said.

Apple's snail ad ran during the NBA All-Star game today. The two-page ad in last week's WSJ looked good too. It seems to be a good blitz and they have to keep running these ads until we're all sick of them.

They are working (anecdotally, via Rumors):

I work as a salesman at one of the
companies recently dropped from the
Apple retail ranks, and I am truly
sorry to see that happen, as I was the
Apple guy in the store. But that aside,
even though today was a low traffic
day, I still fielded four questions
prompted by the new snail-backed
apple ads. Each customer was
amazed at the thought that some
computer could beat out the new 333
P2 that we have.

Doren, Thanks for the links. As far as Rhapsody goes I think it's just a bit of bad timing that as things stand now, it runs the risk of continuing to be a marginal player. On the other hand I understand why Jobs has to keep the focus on the core business which he seems to be doing pretty well. Apple has been up as high as 19.5 today. Maybe it'll test the 20 level tomorrow. I would think the snail ad is having a bit to do with it. It is a very good ad. Later this year will just have to see whether Apple regains an opportunity to play with the big boys using Rhapsody or not.
