Nothing was delayed. Ira said that he was "shooting" for last week. Why are you all speculating as for why they were delayed if they weren't?

JLebed....WWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOO!!!

that's the bottom line.

Richard, I think I'm the blame for this one. I talked to Rob at the Wall St. office on Friday. I don't remember verbatim what he told me but the feeling I got was that the actual audit of FAMH for '97 was delayed in process while their auditing firm was looking into the books of Myriad so that the acquisition could be expedited (not in stone, but my interpretation from the conversation). As far as their IT initiative is concerned, I trust your account since you've actively dealt with them recently. Not sure what to say in response, but the person responsible for those placements (Mr. Frantangelo I believe) was in the room while I was talking to Rob. I'll try to verify it later on my own.
----As far as the numbers are concerned, I agree with an earlier post that said an accurate analysis is speculation without the actual audit. An interesting note, although the D&B definition gives Return on Sales as equivalent to Net Margin, I've found more than one source that defines it differently as Gross. My personal belief is that there may have been many issues that can't be taken into account, even if Ira stated that the earnings were from recurring operations. Hopefully, we will soon see.

Rick, I saw a Firamada ad in the Phoenix newspaper (Arizona Republic) yesterday. It's about a 2.5 inch classified ad looking for more Sales Account Executives (salespeople) for the IT Division.

The Phoenix office said they want to expand their IT efforts. They are very pleased with the IT person that started last week and want to get more IT recruiters.

When I called the NY office, they said the Morton Downey Show did not take anything away from the funding they are using to build the IT Division. They said IT staffing is "where we're headed."

Best wishes,
Brad

Richard,

The FAMH PR guy told me that, "I won't bull$hit you, we don't know when the financials are coming out. They have been delayed because of the Myriad acquisition". He said nothing about the inclusion of Myriad with FAMH. My take was that the time the auditors spent with Myriad, delayed the completion and release of the FAMH audited '97 numbers; not, that the delay was due to combining or including them.
The Myriad deal was time sensitive, as the IRS wanted their money, and the owners needed to be relieved of their tax liabilities. My personal opinion is that FAMH put the Myriad acquisition at the top of their list of priorities.
