TV publicity from Yahoo:

I was watching the local TV Station in Philadelphia and they were running a
segment on the Philly police ad how hey are using this new rugged laptop in their
cruisers. In the feature they mentioned how they are currently employing 800 of
these units and expect outfit up to 3200 cruisers with these units. If you multiply
2400 units x $5000 each it equals $12,000,000 and that sounds like an excellent
sale for CYI.
If anyone is interested, the feature was run on Saturday February 7, 1998 on
ABC Primetime Weekend here in Philly at 7:00pm. Needless to say it was
excellent advertising.

Lou and all posters. I have put together an Excel spreadsheet which attempts to project quarterly earnings over 1998 based on historical costs, gross profit assumptions and shipments of announced PC Mobile orders over the 4 Q's of 1998. This is just a model I put together to give me some comfort that all the orders announced will soon turn into turnover and earnings per share. The model definitely shows 2Q to be the watershed quarter and possible 1Q squeaking into the money. If anyone has Microsoft Office 97 with Excel 97 software then I will eMail the model to you.

Please note if you get a copy that it is based on assumptions and is not set in bedrock....just a useful guide that CYI followers can up date as contracts and historical earnings are announced. Also my assumptions as to how the market will project announced EPS are just that...with momentum or lack thereof it's anyone's guess how the market will value CYI in terms of earnings multiples when it starts to make money.
