Has it been noted before? _______ ADVISORY/NIA Releases Results of Third and Largest Test Ever on ATM Backbone Network BusinessWire, Friday, February 06, 1998 at 15:01 The Network Interoperability Alliance (NIA) will announce results on Monday, February 9, 1998 of its third and largest test program on a multivendor, enterprise ATM backbone network. This is the most comprehensive test ever in the industry of an enterprise ATM backbone network. The test, which was monitored by The Tolly Group, focused on PNNI, ATM's interior routing protocol that automates the establishment of ATM virtual circuit connections and supports dynamic routing. The test involved equipment and resources supplied by IBM, Bay Networks, 3Com, General Datacomm, Xylan, First Virtual Corporation, FORE Systems, Inc., Interphase and Olicom. NIA representatives will be available for one-on-one interviews with press and industry analysts from 11am to 3pm EST on Monday, February 9 and Tuesday, February 10.
