A few days back, taxi posted some sites which urged caution when a stock depends largely on story or promotion. Here is another good site filled with interesting facts. It has several informative lists/analysis. I am not currently suggesting this is the case here, so hold your flames. But I do find it interesting that many of the hardcore aipn "longs" are starting to ask the same questions asked here months back. And that the company seems to be restating some timeline estimates.

Along those lines, I spoke to a geologist friend today who has been familiar with the entire Kaz/Caspian Sea scenario for years. Her first comment was that the barrel estimates that I said were being suggested were probably true. She felt the entire region was floating on oil. BUT Between the geographic problems (lack of pipeline, hostile borders, harsh environment) and the political/business environment ( quote "a deal is never a deal there") She felt it could be many years before oil actually produced any significant money for anyone out of that region. She pointed out a "major oil company's" continuing problems there but said they are so deep into it, they can't back out now. FWIW
