Not really up to us in Ukraine. I'd like it to stay that way. I'd trust Putin over Iran any day, but I don't care what they are negotiating as long as it doesn't include more tax dollars sent to Iran to fund more trouble. Iran is gonna do what it wants in secret, so it'll be up to Israel to find out what it is. I haven't followed that one other than to learn of it and shake my head and ask Whuh? As far as I'm concerned, if it isn't written as a treaty and ratified by the Senate, then it is meaningless.

You don't have to trust Putin. Just recognize Crimea return to Russia = simple paperwork change. Also recognize the 2 independent states. UN would be happy to help them with constitutions and elections. And a bit more paperwork saying "We abjure joining NATO and will accept no foreign troops in Ukraine. "

Hey presto, we all go back to nice cups of tea, scones with jam and cream, and golf.

News media can get real jobs.

If Russian soldiers keep shooting and not leaving, then status quo continues. But I bet they'll love to call it quits.

No trust needed.

Or, for a LOT of excitement, we could have the end of the world instead. Armageddon. Some biblical prophets would like that. We could have super would record killed people = maybe 5 billion in short order and another 2 billion as famine gets them.

I prefer scones, tea, and golf
