Russia's demands are unreasonable and undemocratic. If this war continues, the price of crude oil and other agricultural commodities will continue to surge, causing a global recession. That's on Putin and his invasion of Ukraine.

I think you need to "rethink" your apologetic stance and support of Putin. There is no rational justification for what he has done.

There is no backing off. The only question is whether Putin dies a slow death with support at home becoming increasingly hostile through the impact of the worldwide economic sanctions, causing his removal from office or he gets assassinated.
