We've been importing energy from other states for decades; at least since Hoover Dam began producing it. We've closed down 2 out of 3 nuclear plants, and you didn't notice, cuz capacity was replaced before they shut down. The same thing will happen with Diablo Canyon. "Where are the offshore wind turbines? How much progress have we made in shifting toward solar energy?" I think PGE is about 35% green, plus large hydro. That includes imported green energy. I think gas was $4.99 for regular the last time I was in town, which was Sun.
