While every civilian death is a tragedy, it doesn’t look like this war is a war against civilians. As of March 6, there were 364 civilian deaths, as per UN. A lot more among the military personnel on both sides. Considering that so much of the fighting involves cities and other populated places, it could have been worse.

There seem to be positive signs - I liked it that Poland declined the honor to fall on its sword by sending planes into the fight. Promising negotiations seem to be taking place. We all may yet live to disagree another day… :)
