It really does. Every mile matters.

Netanyahu wrote, a mere 20 years ago, about the untenability of having nuclear tipped missiles in Iran, and in fact, he had the same complaint about jet aircraft -- you simply cannot defend a space that is 5 or 10 minutes from annihilation with current technology (although, that time is likely nearing).

The case of USSR vs. USA was very different from that of Ukraine vs. Russia. Ukraine had a very large nuclear arsenal, for sure, mostly tactical, and if this war has shown us anything it is that MAD is still alive and well -- had Ukraine had those nukes in working condition today, Russia would have certainly had doubts about this unjust attack against Ukraine.

Our failure to defend Ukraine will certainly drive non-nuclear nations to think twice about allowing themselves to be in this position.
