Robert-

According to Friday's press release, the Company made a profit in the 4th Quarter. I believe that the exact numbers will be released in mid-March.

IMHO the 1st Quarter is far more important in determining Alydaar's direction for 1998. Lets hope for significant contract announcements from the Company in the near term. I still believe that the company implements one of the finest remediation solutions in the industry. The client list is impressive.... their opinion is much more important than any expressed on this thread.

I also believe that the Year 2000 problem will become the major issue of 1998 by early summer as the public will begins to understand the serious issues at hand.

I am already beginning to see the cracks in the industry.... automation technologies will lead the way....

For what its worth,

Tech Master

Robert, I second what Tech Master says.

I think an important consideration here is we are talking not just end of quarter, but end of year. That means ALYD may have some full-year expenses that they may have to take in Q4, or there may be some other miscellaneous stuff they choose to write-off in '97 rather than carry forward into '98. For example, I know ALYD had a NASCAR sponsorship this past year so that may show up in Q4.

As I've said, by the time year-end numbers come out in March, everyone will be focused on Q1 '98, so it would make the most sense to expense everything you can in '97 as long as you make sure you maintain a meager profit. At least that's what I would do.
