Skeeter Been overseas for a month hence no contact. Internet is neither easy nor convenient there even though available. << btw, in the govt procurement system do they actually have quotas or do they say they choose the minority company with all else being equal? i know that application can be a lot different than the intent, but i'd like to know what their stated intent is. >> Yes Govt. does have quota. And companies doing business with Govt have to have quota. Of course as you mentioned the companies could front minorities (including wives) as owners and get the orders. Some contracts do not even require a competitive bid. I know an engineer here who could not even get a job. Then he applied for 8H status. Now he has 50 employees and guaranteed contracts all courtesy of US govt. ratan
