IMO, Trump would lose again if he ran. He had great policies, but backed them up with uncalled for name calling and horrible staff selections that eventually grew very stale for many of his followers. Had he moved to be "more Presidential" in his behavior after he was elected, he would still be President today. The voters he lost will not come back to him. He has proven he can only be what he is. Best if he stayed in the background as a power broker, but I don't see that happening either.

As much as it pains me, I agree with this article for only one reason: the Democrats would start all over with the lies and BS Trump had to endure. He would be a great President and should win, but what would he have to go through?

IMO, The BEST and MOST SUITABLE and MOST CAPABLE person to run for President against the Demented Democrats in 2024 is the person THAT THEY HATE AND FEAR THE MOST, and against whom THEY and their Sycophantic, Bum-Licking MSM Endlessly Target with their VITRIOL AND LIES AND HATE-FILLED PROPAGANDA !!! I thought it was a very good article. I liked the first half summarizing Trump's accomplishments and did not agree on 2 or the 3 reasons he had for Mr Trump not to run. Having DeSantis as an alternative is remarkable and fortuitous (I looked that up) and I think most people would take either for President and be thrilled.

Just got to this - haven't read the other answers yet. The first two reasons for why are not valid, IMO. The third reason - DeSantis, is not a reason to exclude Trump. Reason 1 - Youngkin is basically a RINO, or at least not a strong conservative, from what I've heard. I am far from Virginia and don't pay much attention to their politics, FWIW, More importantly, I've heard from those in the know that his election was rigged for him to win to get people off the Election Fraud investigations - give them hope that we could straighten it out without thoroughly getting to the bottom of the 2020 obvious fraud. I think the author may belong in this camp, or maybe he is in DeSantis' camp (see below). Reason 2 - Romney "curse". WTH? Romney was a flake and total RINO hypocrite. You can't blame Trump for the pandemic or the uncertain initial responses. Sounds like when people tried to blame Bush for Katrina - like he sent the hurricane to Louisiana himself. Reason 3 - DeSantis. Good guy. Like to see him in the bullpen or let him try to run against Trump to see what people say. The author would prefer Trump disqualify himself because I think he knows what people would say. My opinion of the article is LAME.
