Chucky -

I do have some pro-Iomega bias. No question about that.

My main reason for discontinuing the testing of the Nomai disks was that the testing program I had ran only on the Mac. That program was the only piece of software I had on hand that would do a continuous read/write test and keep track of errors.

The problem was that the Mac, together with the Zip drive inside it, belongs to my wife. Once there was any hint that the testing might actually harm the drive, I no longer felt comfortable continuing.

I could hook up my Zip Plus to my wife's machine and continue testing, but I'm not convinced there's any reason to risk it now. Anyone have any opinions on that?

I would have to say, in all fairness, that the results of my testing cannot be considered conclusive.
