I agree with everything Hawk said. Here's an interview with an old-timer expert on the Soviet Union, Russia, and Ukraine (especially Ukraine). There is a lot of junk info out there, especially on YT, but this guy knows what he's talking about. He is being interviewed from a Telegraph guy. He explains why it is simply not possible for Putin to win this war. Ukraine is too big. A puppet regime would be taken out with prejudice in very short order. And Putin has turned all the Russian speakers in eastern Ukraine into raging nationalists. I've set the video to start where he is asked what a Russian "victory" would look like. You only need to watch about 5-6 minutes from that point. Definitely worth the watch:
