I just looked at the Federal income tax rates in Canada. Not nearly as bad as I thought. I was expecting a lot worse. As for Justin Trudeau, he most certainly was spoon fed. But it takes a lot of money and connections to run for office. My experience is that Quebec is very liberal, especially Montreal and Quebec City. Ontario is a swing province, while Manitoba and Alberta are conservative. I spoke to a few contractors from Alberta who were doing business in NYC a few years ago and were attending an Islander's hockey game in Brooklyn and they gave me the low down on Canadian Politics. They were super nice guys, but definitely conservative. Not sure about BC. When I think of Vancouver, I think about the riots after the Canucks lost game 7 to the Bruins in the Stanley cup final at home. My youngest son went out with a gorgeous model from Vancouver who was on a shoot in NYC. She didn't have very nice things to say about Vancouver. My son was a bit taken back by her anti-Asian comments, but he largely ignored it for the sake of other benefits. In that respect, he takes after his father, always keeping the bigger picture or prize at the forefront.
