You can stick a fork in NKTR this morning! Howard Robin hopefully has sold his last “pig in a poke.” Once again their latest attempt in developing a drug that actually works, has failed . Considering other companies other than BMY have ongoing clinical trials with NKTRs product, there is going to be a massive fallout in the drug segment today. Knowing Robin, he will issue himself a boat load of cheap options so he can celebrate his “victory.”

Well … This week has been a turn around, for both the general market and biotechs, with increases of 9% for the week. In fact only one portfolio was in the red for the week, and that by less than one per cent. BRENDAN_49, now with the top spot, has almost reached a YTD positive return. In terms of individual stock performances, CLSD managed to reach the top five for two weeks in a row, though starting in a fairly deep hole. The top 10 portfolio list got mixed up a bit, with the most recent addition of A.J. MULLEN.

Although I enjoyed my brief moment of glory, I have slid to the third spot. ;-)

We are enjoying the encroachment of Spring, with new flowers popping up everywhere. Who knows what the rest of the year will bring?
