So it looks like the turnaround in stock prices came well after the initial layoffs had been announced. 0.77 looks like the lowest BTB. So extrapolating, since layoffs this time are few and far between and the BTB is still in the .9 area, assuming things will get just as bad , one may reasonably conclude that the sustained turn in stock prices is still sometime away? Of course that's a huge italicized assumption! Demand for chips is still strong. Capacity in certain sectors still excessive (DRAM). I guess once again we'll just have to see... Figure that the high backlog at AMAT may be getting much smaller - how much should be interesting.
