When I was young my dad would take me to visit my uncle at the farm. Something uncle Lewis would say to me was, "If you can't get a board, get a plank." which was then followed by a good laugh. I didn't understand it at the time but it was good to see him laugh. Even so, there was still the issue of dad ordering the chickens to bark.

Still got all my grandfathers tubes from around 1920.. He got the first official ham radio license in the counrty, although he was using ham radios pre license era. I think he said it was signed by Hover. Not sure before he became President or after
