Precisely. Everything Biden, Harris, Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell, et al, do is geared towards domestic political consumption, with zero thought towards unintended consequences, black swans, etc. In Biden’s case, his party is in horrible shape, about to lose midterm elections in an epic way. He sees Ukraine as a means of whitewashing Afghanistan, tweaking Putin’s nose, and otherwise an opportunity to take popular steps which, though unwise or plainly stupid, will rescue his party from the horsewhipping it deserves. The GOP is only a smidgen better. We are sliding ever faster into a major global disaster.
