On this one, Kasparov is not alone. Read recently about this - maybe Caroline Glick? - that Putin still serves as one of the key people working on the Iran deal.

To many influential people this OneWorld business is a very high priority - and Iran, seemingly, is an important part of it. Putin, naturally, will want something in return for his cooperation. That “something” may be some degree if moderation on the part of the West. Which, in itself, is not necessarily a bad thing… *if* it helps the Ukraine negotiations and helps prevent a rapid slide to a Big War.

Personally, I think OneWorld is a wrongheaded idea. It’s a form of global “equity” - equality of outcomes. This can be achieved either by having poor countries catch up with the rich ones - or, through some sort of redistribution. Since socialists have never been known for being patient, it would probably be the latter.
